Landscape Photography – Surf’s Up Mexico
Landscape Photography – Surf’s Up Mexico. I took this photo a few weeks ago in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. To capture this image I had to employ a few different techniques to achieve the overall look. The first was to expand the tripod legs out low and wide so that I could have a sturdy base that could take a few rouge waves crashing up on the shore. I planned to take multiple exposures and did not want anything to shift. Next, I composed the image and focused on the mound of seaweed in front of me in the foreground. I waited until I had a perfectly timed shot with the water receding back to the ocean as I released the shutter. Finally, I moved my focal point to the tall hut on the beach and took multiple exposures to capture all the details in the sky and the clouds. Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To capture this image, I took multiple exposures and changed my focal point to increase the depth of field. with my Sony a7rIII and I used the Presetpro Nightscape Collection found in the Creative Flow. To finalize the image (sharpen and remove dust spots) I used Photoshop to complete the look.
