Nightscape Photography “Tropical Nights”
Nightscape Photography “Tropical Nights”. Here’s a poolside photo that I took in Mexico! It was a hot and hazy night which gave all of the lights a beautiful diffused look. To help “soften” the image (mainly the lights) I set my aperture f 5.6, as this reduces the starburst effect from the lights and I increased my shutter speed to get a beautifully balanced shot. During post-processing, I accentuated the complimentary colors and highlighted the nice subtle glow reflecting off the water. The end result is this soft/subtle nod to the relaxing tropical nights that we spent down south. Check out the larger version of this photo here or on Google Plus!
Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To capture this image, I took multiple exposures ( Sony a7rIII ) to ensure I captured the entire dynamic range of this scene. To process this image, I used the Presetpro Nightscape Collection found in the Creative Flow. Finally, I imported the image into Photoshop to do a little sharpening.
