HDR Photography – Majestic Waterfall in Iceland. Here’s a photo that I took of a waterfall in Iceland. While driving we noticed this amazing waterfall off in the distance. It was lightly raining that day, but it was a great opportunity to get out the van, take some shots and stretch our legs. This was one of those magical locations where you almost feel like you’re being sucked into a time vortex. We only planned to spend 20 mins here but the location was so beautiful that we ended up taking photos for 3 hours. The intensely blue water and the textured green moss that carpeted the area made for a really interesting shot. It reminded me of something that you might see in The Lord of The Rings movies. The funny thing is about Iceland, you get back in your vehicle and 5 minutes down the road you’ll find another opportunity to “stretch your legs” haha. Check out the high-quality version here!

To capture this image, I used my Sony a7r ii. I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them into Lightroom. Next, I used the Landscape Presets and brushes from the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets to bring out some subtle details. Finally, I combined the RAW file and my Lightroom version in Photoshop to finalize the shot.
