HDR Photography | Bright Light City
HDR Photography | Bright Light City – This shot was taken from the Empire State Building in New York looking west towards the Hudson River. I like this perspective because it’s not the typical shot that everyone usually takes. We visited on a Saturday and we quickly realized that we should have visited earlier in the week. The outdoor viewing deck was packed and we found ourselves maneuvering through a sea of people just to get to the edge. No matter, once we finally established our spot we began to appreciate just how beautiful the city really was from this perspective. I took out my trusty Gorilla Pod and attached it to the railing while I set up my camera. I was able to capture the shot while the sun was still setting across the horizon. The combination of the bright city lights against the colorful transition from day to night was nothing short of pure photography magic!
