Landscape Photography – Mountain Mist in Austria. If you decide to visit Hallstatt Austria, I recommend that you stay a few nights so that you can experience what the town is like without the crowds. Hallstatt has become very popular in recent years and during the day the town is usually flooded with tourists. After dinner, all the tourists get back on their buses and Hallstatt returns to a sleepy and peaceful little town. The morning and the evening is when you’ll get a true sense of what makes the Austrian culture so special. This photo was taken on our last day and I made sure to get up early so that I could capture the mist rising from the lake. View the larger version of this photo here or on Google Plus!

Post Processing & Camera Settings.

To capture this image, I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them into Lightroom. Next, I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes (Cityscape Collection). Finally, I combined the RAW file and my Lightroom version in Photoshop to finalize the shot.
