HDR Photography – The Textures of Venice
HDR Photography “The Textures of Venice” – Here’s a shot that I took in Venice, Italy. Venice is probably one of the most interesting and unique cities in the whole world. Venice is truly a photographer’s heaven! While visiting, I spent most of my afternoons photographing the painted walls, crumbling stucco and brick throughout the city. This photo was taken form the Ponte dell’ Accademia bridge looking over the Grand Canal. It was an overcast day, which left the image looking a little dull… so this was a great opportunity to layer some interesting textures into the photo! The cool part is, all the textures that I used for the edit were also taken in Venice. Click here to watch the Texture Blending Video for Photoshop!
Post Processing “Painting The Town Amsterdam” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined the them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Next I combined the original three EV (-2, 0, +2) RAW files into Aurora HDR and also Photomatix to create another two HDR versions. Finally, I blended all my different “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
