HDR Photography – Blue Hour City
This is a photo that I took in Paris, France. I took this shot from the rooftop of the Arc de Triomphe. This is one of my favorite places to capture the Parisian skyline. Up on the rooftop, you’ll find a unique panoramic perspective of the city. The Arc is circled by a constant flow of traffic and the streets leading up to the Arc create a parade of interesting lines and shapes. I really wanted to take this photo at Blue Hour so I waited until the sun dipped below the horizon and the city lights came up before I started shooting. I used a mini tripod and a long exposure so that I could capture a few light trails from the traffic. HDR Photography Blue Hour City – High-Quality Version
Post Processing “Blue Hour City” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-3, 0, +3) and combined them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Finally, I blended all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image! I created a FREE Lightroom Preset for night photography! Free Lightroom Preset
