Blending Light HDR Photography – Ripple of Light
Blending Light HDR Photography – Ripple of Light. We decided to take a quick train ride from Paris to Normandy, France. There was one location in particular on my “must see” list that I hadn’t photographed yet and that was Mont Saint-Michel. This beautiful medieval island dates back to the 6th & 7th century and still maintains a nearly untouched village full of historic French architecture. When the tide was out, I walked out onto the clay beach at sunset and captured a few shots. Actually, I filled an entire 64 GB, sd card Haha! The tide left beautiful ripples in the clay which made for some interesting reflections in the foreground of my shot. This is the first of many photos that I plan to process from this trip. Stay tuned for more scenes from Mont Saint-Michel in the next couple of months.
Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To capture this image, I used my FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them in Photoshop/Luminosity Masks. Next, I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes to process my middle exposure (0). Finally, I mixed all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
