Blending Light HDR Photography – Monet’s Pond
Blending Light HDR Photography – Monet’s Pond. If you ever find yourself in Paris you may want to take a quick train ride to check out Monet’s Garden/Pond in Giverny, France! If you’re familiar with his paintings, you’ll recognize that this is where he drew his inspiration from! The shadows, light, and reflections are truly something to see. I took this photo at high noon so the lighting was a little harsh but I had to take what I could get as the gardens did not open until later in the morning. I did capture some closer shots of the lilies so stay tuned for those photos in the weeks and months to come!
Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To capture this image, I used my FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS. I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them in Photoshop/Luminosity Masks. Next, I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes to process my middle exposure (0). Finally, I mixed all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
