Film Emulation | Joshua Tree – Joshua Tree has some of the most interesting landscapes in the United States. When you drive into the National Park you’ll think that you’ve stumbled on to some prehistoric movie set in the desert. The trees and rock formations are fascinating to photograph and you can almost imagine a dinosaur walking around in the background! I would suggest sticking around for the entire day as the color and light is beyond beautiful at sunset. Joshua Tree lends itself well to a retro/film photography look, perfect for using some Film Lightroom presets. I used the Kodak 400 (Portra) preset for this image. See the full resolution image here.

To process this image, I used the Presetpro Creative Flow Lightroom Presets, Profiles, and Brushes. I used Lightroom film emulation presets (Kodak Portra 400) to complete the look. Next, I imported the image into Photoshop to crop and finalize.
