Lifestyle & Lightroom Series No.1

Welcome to the first edition of a new blog series that I’m calling- Lifestyle & Lightroom. Today I will be showing you how to use The Creative Flow to edit your detail shots. I’m a blogger/photographer with my own Style blog where I share my passion for interior design, travel and photography. Each week I photograph and feature one of my favorite local spots. This could be a cafe, restaurant, antique shop…anywhere that I love spending time. This week I went to Accents for Living, an elegant home decor store. I discovered Accents for Living about a year ago. I was considering a move to the area and I happened to pass by this lovely stone cottage filled with furniture, art and accessories! Below is a shot that I took of the coffee table books that they sell in the store. This photo was taken on a Canon 5D camera with a 50 mm lens. I took advantage of the natural light from the windows by using aperture priority. My settings were: ISO 125, f 1.8 and 1/250 sec. As you can see in the before photo, the multiple lighting sources in the store made it difficult for me to capture an even shot. I uploaded the raw file into Adobe Lightroom and used Presetpro’s Creative Flow Collection for my edit.

Here are the steps that I took using The Creative Flow:

I chose “Neutral-desat iiii” as my base preset.
I scrolled down to the Vignette folder and selected “Lens +75” which corrected my lens vignette.
Finally, I scrolled down to the Refine Folder and selected “Shadows + 100.”
