Landscape Photography – Whimsical Wave

Whimsical Wave – This photo is a close-up of the canyon walls in Lower Antelope Canyon, Arizona! While exploring the canyon, I decided to take a few close-up shots for a more abstract looking image. The walls of the canyon are sandstone and the unique lines and shapes are created by flash floods. Apparently, when the area is hit by a heavy downpour, the water accumulates and races through the narrow canyon walls creating a whimsical wave effect. For the edit, I wanted to do something colorful so I used my Antelope Canyon Preset from The Landscape Collection to bring out the dynamic colors and cooler tones. View – High-Quality Version

Post Processing

Post Processing “Whimsical Wave” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-3, 0, +3) and combined them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions with the Landscape Collection Lightroom Presets. Finally, I mixed all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
