HDR Photography – Grand Canyon
HDR Photography – Grand Canyon. While visiting The Grand Canyon I made sure to get up super early to catch the sunrise. I visited during the winter and I was surprised to find snow and below zero temperatures. It was a very cold morning and a little slippery in spots but with a cup of hot coffee to keep warm and some sure footing, it made for a memorable experience. It was so peaceful to watch the sun slowly come up over the horizon and touch the peaks of the canyon. Within a few short minutes, the light spread across the entire canyon and revealed an interesting palette of blues, reds, oranges, and yellows. This photo reminds me of why I love landscape photography, nature offers up the best color combinations to edit! Check out the high-quality version here!
Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To capture this image, I used my FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS. I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them in Photoshop/Luminosity Masks. Next, I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes to process my middle exposure (0). Finally, I mixed all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
