HDR Photography – Early Morning in Colmar. Here’s a photo that I took in Colmar, France. This beautiful little town is tucked away near the German border and is home to a slew of colorful homes and cobblestone streets. Colmar is widely known throughout Europe as “Little Venice” because of the unique canals that wind through the downtown core. The town lays on the outskirts of the famous Alsace wine region where you will find miles and miles of grape vines. The German-influenced architecture mixed with the French culture/lifestyle made for a vibrant stay and a fascinating photography location. More photos to come from Colmar! To capture this image, I used my Sony a7r. I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them into Lightroom. Next, I used the Landscape Presets and brushes from the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets to bring out some subtle details. Finally, I combined the RAW file and my Lightroom version in Photoshop to finalize the shot.
