HDR Photography – Canyon Light
HDR Photography – Canyon Light. Here’s a photo that I took while exploring Lower Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona. When you arrive at this magical place, you are instantly overwhelmed by the scale and the height of the canyon walls. It’s quite beautiful how the rock formations seem to bend and weave together like a massive cathedral ceiling above you. The intricate lines and patterns that you see on the canyon walls are naturally formed from many years of heavy rain and flooding. Little by little, the sandstone is chiseled away to reveal shapes that look like huge crashing waves in the ocean. Fitting, given that they were created with water. This was the last shot that I took before exiting the canyon. The sunlight was peeking through the rocks and it created this wonderful photo opportunity for me to take advantage of. The canyon light revealed a gorgeous color palette that I was excited to enhance in post-processing. Check out the larger version of this photo here or on Google Plus!

To capture this image, I took multiple exposures with Sony a7rii and I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes to complete the look. Finally, I combined the RAW file and my Lightroom version in Photoshop to finalize the shot.
