HDR Photography | Buckingham Fountain

If you ever find yourself in Chicago during the summer months, make sure that you visit the Buckingham Fountain at night! As you make your way down to the fountain you’ll be greeted with a cool mist, classical music, and a spectacular light show! The lights that illuminate the fountain are actually timed to the music which creates this really beautiful symphony of color. I composed this shot to include the Chicago skyline and waited for the right moment to remove my lens cap. The wind and mist will create speckles on your lens, so bring a cloth with you to ensure that you can grab a clean shot.

To process this image, I used the Presetpro Creative Flow Lightroom Presets, Profiles, and Brushes to (I used Lightroom Profiles included in The Creative Flow to color grade this image). Next, I created a copy of this image in Aurora HDR and used the Presetpro Aurora HDR Presets. Finally, I used Photoshop to sharpen the image.
