Creative Flow Base Preset: Dynamic iii

Today I will be demonstrating the power of a single preset. In some cases, one preset can give you the results you want in one simple click. That was the case with the waterfall picture below. This shot was taken on a Sony a7r camera. The settings for the photo were: ISO 100, f/22, 8.0 secs. The before photo was achieved by merging three photos captured at different exposures in Adobe Lightroom. The before shot looked pretty good on it’s own, but it contained some dark shadows and lacked dimension. I played around with the Creative Flow and looked for a preset that would boost the intensity. I find that the Base – Dynamic folder never lets me down when it comes to Landscapes. I ended up choosing the Dynamic Basic iii for my edit. I liked how it brought out the slightest bit of definition in the water streams and highlighted the moss on the rocks. The preset really took this shot to the next level.
