Cityscape Photography – Montmartre, Paris at Night. I love city photography at night! When traveling, I always make sure to spend my time photographing night scenes in major cities and Paris is one of my favorite spots. Paris is lit so beautifully at night and it’s the perfect place to find post-card worthy scenes like this one that I found in Montmartre. Montmartre is one of those special neighborhoods in Paris where it seems like you’ve been whisked back in time. Much of the neighborhood has stayed the same for hundreds of years so you can walk the same streets that many famous artists did back in the day such as, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, and Vincent van Gogh to name a few. I got pretty lucky that night because as I was taking this photo, a guy showed up on a white Vespa and parked it directly in my line of view. I kind of love how it added a little something extra to the foreground of the shot! Check out the larger version of this photo here or on Google Plus!

Post Processing & Camera Settings.

To capture this image, I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them into Lightroom. Next, I used the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets and Brushes (Nightscape Collection). Finally, I combined the RAW file and my Lightroom version in Photoshop to finalize the shot.
