Cityscape Photography | Arc de Triomphe
This is a shot that I took a few years ago of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. Typically I enjoy creating wildly colorful images but lately, I’ve been challenging myself to allow the original photo to guide me with the edit. In this case, I decided to go for a monochromatic look that allows for lots of shadow-play and subtly. I remember the sunset that night was soft and delicate and I wanted to give the audience a sense of what it was like to stand in front of the Arc that night.
Post Processing & Camera Settings.
To process this image, I used the Presetpro Creative Flow Lightroom Presets, Profiles, and Brushes to (I used Lightroom Profiles included in The Creative Flow to color grade this image). Finally, I used Photoshop to sharpen the image.
