HDR Photography – Strands of Light

HDR Photography Strands of Light! Here’s a photo that I took while touring around Paris one night. This location has a great view of the Eiffel Tower and I always find myself gravitating towards this spot when I’m visiting. I’m definitely one of those people that think Paris is more beautiful at night. I set up my camera just outside of this café to capture the car headlights that were streaming by and the reflections in the glass. It took a few tries to get the perfect stream of light as traffic was sparse at times. The candle on the table mixed with the Eiffel Tower in the background, and the light streaks made for a really unique shot. Check out the high-quality version here!

To capture this image, I used my Sony a7ri. I took three bracketed shots EV (-2, 0, +2) and combined them into the new Aurora HDR 2018 (I was fortunate enough to have a pre-release version) Next I used the brushes from the Creative Flow Lightroom Presets to bring out some of the details. Finally, I combined the RAW file and my HDR file in Photoshop and heavily post-processed the image.
