HDR Photography – Alien Trees
Alien Trees – This is a photo that I took in Las Vegas. While touring around at night, I found these metal “tree-like” structures off the main strip. Despite being made of metal they had a very organic feel to them, almost alien like! I took a moment to marvel at the abstract nature of the trees and compose a few interesting angles. I figured the best way to capture these unique trees was to point my camera directly up at them! This added a little mystery to the shot because there is no earthly reference to what it might be. The photo leaves you asking “What the heck is that? View – High-Quality Version
Post Processing
Post Processing “Alien Trees” – I took three bracketed shots EV (-3, 0, +3) and combined them in Lightroom to create an HDR image. Then I used Lightroom on a single exposure (EV, 0) to create a couple of different creative versions. Finally, I mixed all my “versions” into Photoshop to get the final image!
