Creative Edit: Eiffel Arch – Tim Martin
Here’s a photo from…you guessed it, Paris! I vividly remember taking this exact shot back in late August 2014. The reason I remember it so well is because we had booked tickets to see The Moulin Rouge later that evening and I had to be back at the hotel (Hôtel De Varenne) 20 mins later in order to get ready in time! (it’s about a 25 min walk from the hotel!) I quickly snapped this photo, packed my gear and started running back to the hotel full tilt. I made it in time, but I had to skip my shower…not a good look for the Moulin Rouge! Anyways, I am happy that I snapped this last shot because it ended up being the last photo that I took of the Eiffel Tower. The good news is, we’re heading back to Paris as part of our 7 city Euro Tour in June. I’m looking forward to taking more shots and sharing them with you as we go!
Processing “Eiffel Arch” For this shot I used a single exposure using some Lightroom presets. Next I created a “tone mapped version” in Photomatix. Finally I combined all sample/versions in Photoshop for the final image.
