Inspired by Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400, the daylight ISO 400 color negative Fujifilm built around its Super Uniform Fine Grain technology: fine grain for a high-speed film at RMS granularity 4, smooth and naturally depicted skin tones, sharpness that holds from overall form down to textural detail, gray balance kept from the brightest highlights into the deepest shadows, and the wide exposure latitude that made it the everyday fast film. It is the second Fujifilm stock in the RAW Series and, unlike Astia 100F, a color negative. Most film presets apply one recipe on top of whatever profile your camera happens to load, so the same look renders differently on every body. S400 fixes what sits underneath: camera profiles individually built for each of 753 camera models, all made to one base rendering, with the Superia 400 look locked inside the raw looks on top.

Choose from 24 looks: 6 RAW looks that render through your camera’s own profile, and 18 universal looks that work on every RAW and JPEG image. Both rows carry an Amount slider from 0 to 200. Then finish with the 64-tool LAB: film fades, grain by ISO, vignettes, and print-style finishing.

Do the RAW looks work in Lightroom (the cloud version)?

No. The cloud version of Lightroom does not support third-party camera profiles, so the 6 S400 raw looks are a Lightroom Classic feature. Your download includes a dedicated Cloud Edition with the 18 universal looks and the complete 64-tool LAB, tested in the cloud app.

Why don’t I see the S400 raw looks on my photo?

They appear only when a RAW file from a supported camera is selected in Lightroom Classic. That is normal Lightroom behavior, not a broken install. On any other file, use the S400, nc and vc rows.

Superia 400 is a fast film. Will my photos look grainy?

Only as much as you want them to. The camera profiles carry no grain at all: grain comes from the matching presets, where every S400 preset arrives with a grain mask cut at ISO 400, and from the LAB’s own grain tools. Push it, pull it back to nothing, or swap in another ISO. Fujifilm rated Superia X-TRA 400 at RMS granularity 4, fine for a film this fast, and the collection follows that.

Do the looks work on JPEG files?

Yes. The 18 universal looks and the LAB work on every photo, including JPEG, with an Amount slider from 0 to 200. The 6 RAW looks need a RAW file, because they render through a camera profile built for your exact camera.

Does it work with my camera?

S400 includes a profile for each of 753 camera models, covering Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus and OM System, Pentax and Ricoh, Leica, Hasselblad, Minolta and Konica Minolta. If your camera is newer than the current release, the universal looks still work on every photo, and profile updates are free for the stock you own.

What makes this different from a normal preset pack?

Most film presets apply one recipe on top of whatever profile your camera happens to load, so results vary from body to body. The S400 raw looks lock their settings inside the look and always load a camera profile built individually for your camera model, 753 of them across 10 brands, so every slider starts at zero.

My Fujifilm camera already has film simulations. Why this?

An in-camera simulation is a single fixed rendering, available on Fujifilm bodies only, and it is applied at capture. This is 24 graded looks with matching presets and the 64-tool LAB, applied to the RAW file afterwards and adjustable or removable at any time, on 753 camera models across every brand listed above. If you do shoot Fujifilm, it also brings a Superia 400 inspired rendering to the RAW files you have already taken.

How do I install the RAW Series S400?
